Junior State Cup Trials

All players intending to trial for selection to represent the Wagga Touch Association Vipers in the NSW Touch Junior State Cup must complete the form below.

The JSC Southern Conference will again be held in Wagga from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 February 2021. Teams reaching the final 4 of each division will then progress to the State Finals to be held at a venue to be advised in March 2021.

This year WTA are looking to send both a representative team and a development team in the U8-U14 divisions. This will be dependent on trial numbers and skillsets, as well as coaching, management and referee resources.

WTA will be looking to uphold its proud tradition of representation and the first step is selection trials for squads.
This form must be completed by Wednesday 21 October 2020.

Trials will be held at Jubilee Park on Sunday 25 October 2020 as per the below timeslots. Attendance is compulsory.

U10 Boys & Girls 9:00-10:00am
U12 Boys & Girls 10:45-11:45am
U14 Boys & Girls 12:30-1:30pm
U16 Girls 2:15-3:15pm

From this trial, squads will be selected for all divisions. Selected players only in the below divisions will be invited to a second trial at Jubilee Park on Thursday 29 October 2020 as per below. This trial will be compulsory for selected players only.

U10 Boys & Girls 4:00-5:00pm
U12 Boys & Girls 5:30-6:30pm
U14 Boys & Girls 7:00-8:00pm

The following divisions trial dates are to be advised, however, please register to trial now so we may contact you when trial dates become available.

Players must be registered with WTA as per current Junior Comp Terms & Conditions to trial. Please pay particular attention to the “Amendments to TFA Rules” section.

Please arrive half an hour before your trial as we need to organise the players to be identifiable to the selectors. This is extremely important as it does take a while to organise everyone before trials can commence.

Players trialling are to wear a numbered touch shirt, preferably your Junior team playing shirt, and touch boots.
Please bring water, hat and sunscreen.

Special note to 18’s Boys and Girls. If we do not get at least 14 people to register to trial, it is a possibility that WTA will not nominate a team, so you are strongly encouraged to attend trials and to remind anyone in your age group who is hoping to go to JSC to do the same.

All players are urged to attend Trials. If you will be out of town on either of the Trial dates and therefore unable to Trial, you MUST email [email protected] before Wednesday 7 October stating;

* Age Group Trialing for
* Current team in Saturday (or other) Competition that you play in
* Playing shirt number
* Reason for not being able to attend Trials.

There MAY be the opportunity for the Selectors to watch you play on a Saturday prior to the Trials, but there are no guarantees, so it is imperative that you attend Trials.
